We are by no means experts on mesquite but Lou has decided to dedicate the rest of his life to learning to use this wood and uncovering the many mysteries we know it holds.

Hi Lou,
Saw your work in Kerrville last Saturday - your Jackson slab tables were my favorites in the show! I appreciate your complementary, curved stands; they make the piece. Your finishing is astoundingly clean and polished.
I cut some 18" mesquite on my chainsaw mill years ago, but it all ring-checked to pieces during air drying. Seeing what you've done with wide slabs gives me hope there is a way to use the stuff!
